Outraged parents have slammed “sick and disgusting” child sex dolls that have been invented to stop paedophiles offending.

Shin Takagi, founded the Japanese firm Trottla, which makes the controversial rubber creations.

He claims the lifelike dolls are a tool for those who, like him, struggle with an ongoing sexual attraction towards children.

But many readers were disgusted at the idea and believe it normalises the warped behaviour.

Hundreds of disgusted parents agreed that any sort of sexual desire towards children is wrong and it should not be encouraged in any way.

Reader Nessy Brooks wrote: “It”s not okay to be attracted to kids sexually, if you are then I hope you die real soon.”

The doll costs £1,300.

Karolyn Welford said: “If a doll is keeping you from having sex with a child, please just go get a gun and one bullet load aim at your face and pull it.”

Shauna Rossiter said: “Paedophiles already have 2 options and that”s enough.

“They either completely suppress their desire and never look at another child again – and if they can”t manage that then they should kill themselves.

“Child Sex dolls I”ve never heard of something more repulsive in my life.”

Ann Marie Stapp said these dolls would only desensitise paedophiles and dehumanise their victims so they thought it was normal to act on their urges.

She said: “They are still being socialised and sexualised towards images of children and being encouraged to act out.”

Melissa Hayes added: “People who are like that don”t need dolls, they need counselling and to be closely monitored, finding an innocent child attractive in a sexual way is a clear sign that your brain isn”t working.”

However other Mirror readers have suggested these dolls could help paedophiles in a world in which stigma makes finding help to repress their urges very difficult.

Calpa commented: “This doesn”t seem to be as bad an idea as people are making out. It could keep them away from real children as they no longer need to go out and groom them.”

Other readers said more research could be done, with David Knowles commenting: “Anything that prevents these people from harming children is a good thing, even if it does naturally disgust the rest of us.”

But Takagi said: “We should accept that there is no way to change someone’s fetishes.

“I am helping people express their desires, legally and ethically. It’s not worth living if you have to live with repressed desire.”

There are currently treatments including cognitive-behavioural therapy and chemical castration, along with other interventions which are designed to suppress the urges of paedophiles.

Lifelike child sex dolls created to “stop paedophiles committing crimes”

But although they are used widely, a meta-analysis by the Mayo Clinic concluded such treatments “do not change the paedophile’s basic sexual orientation toward children”.

According to Takagi, his dolls save children from sexual abuse, and his clients – mostly men living alone – write and thank him for that service.

“I often receive letters from buyers. The letters say, ‘Thanks to your dolls, I can keep from committing a crime.”

He told The Atlantic that these correspondents include doctors, prep school teachers and even celebrities

Michael Seto, a psychologist and sexologist at the University of Toronto, said there are two different types of paedophile.

“For some, access to artificial child pornography or to child sex dolls could be a safer outlet for their sexual urges, reducing the likelihood that they would seek out child pornography or sex with real children.

Researchers in Morocco have unearthed the remains of Chenanisaurus Barbaricus, an African dinosaur, 66 million years after the gigantic creatures became extinct. The fossilized dinosaur’s jawbone was discovered on Friday at a mine near the city of Marrakesh in western Morocco.

Nick Longrich, a paleontologist at the University of Bath who was involved in the study, said the discovery is important because it proves that Africa had its own dinosaurs, reports VOA News.

“We have a pretty good picture of the dinosaurs from North America for this time period. For example, Triceratops and T. Rex are part of this fauna, this sort of twilight fauna of the last dinosaurs on Earth.

“But we don’t have a good picture of what’s going on in the rest of the world, and we know almost nothing about the African dinosaurs from this time period,” Longrich said.

Distinctive Features

Longrich believes the jawbone belonged to a dinosaur because of the edges of its teeth, which are rounded, as if they bit in to bone. This feature, according to Longrich, suggests that the creature hunted for its food.
Mass Extinction of Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs were a diverse group of reptiles of the clade Dinosauria family that appeared on earth during the Triassic period some 200 million years ago. They became the dominant terrestrial vertebrates after the Triassic-Jurassic extinction event 201 million years ago.

Their dominance continued through the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods until the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event, which happened about 66 million years ago.

The Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event was a mass extinction of about three-quarters of the plant and animal species on Earth that occurred over a geologically short period of time.

This massive phenomenon wiped out all tetrapods weighing more than 25 kilograms, with the exception of some ectothermic species, such as the leatherback sea turtle and crocodiles.

“It’s interesting to see evidence confirming that dinosaurs remained successful and fauna stayed pretty stable up until the end of the Cretaceous period in Africa,” said Longrich.

“So I think there is no evidence, as far as I’m concerned, of a decline in dinosaur diversity approaching the extinction, and if it hadn’t been for this asteroid, we’d probably still have dinosaurs here today.”

Some fossil records suggest that birds are modern feathered dinosaurs, having evolved from theropod ancestors during the Jurassic Period.

A 42 year-old father of six, Babangida Garuba, is now in police custody in Katsina for having sex with a goat. Garba confessed to the offence saying his wife usually starved him of sex.

Garuba, a Goldsmith at the Kasuan Mata area in Funtua, was allegedly caught in the act by his wife who raised the alarm that attracted residents who eventually handed him over to the police. .

Garuba was paraded at the headquarters of Katsina State police command on Thursday. He told journalists he could not say exactly what pushed him into committing the act, though he confessed that it was the second time he engaged in such an act. .

Garuba said, “Yes, it’s true, I had an affair with a goat. My wife caught me while doing it and she shouted. It would be the second time I would do it, but I don’t know why I did it; I have six children while my wife is still pregnant.” .

The state Police Commissioner, Aliyu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident, adding that Garuba would soon appear in court.

50-year-old Italian kidnapper, Blessing Fernando, who reportedly abducted a victim in Delta State, was arrested at Ogbe-Isoko community where he went to collect an additional ransom of N50,000 from the victim’s relatives, having collected N250,000 initially.

The suspect who stays at Evowe Quarters of Ozoro in Isoko North LGA., was paraded alongside 22 suspected kidnappers and three armed at the command headquarters in Asaba yesterday. According to the state Commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, the kidnapping syndicate had terrorised Ozoro and its environs for years.

“He was arrested at a scene where he came to collect ransom of additional sum of N50,000 from the victim’s relatives having robbed the victim the sum of N250,000. Effort to arrest other fleeing gang members is on course as case will be charged to court soon,” the commissioner said.

According to NewTelegraph, upon interrogation, the suspect, who confessed to be a member of the kidnapping syndicate, said he was co-opted under duress after he was duped of N600,000.

He said:

“They forced me to become their member, if I must get back my money.

My desperation to recover my money from them has landed me in this mess. They told me to go and wait at the scene where I was arrested for somebody who will bring some money from which they will offset what they had defrauded me.”

Fernando said his mother hailed from Isoko ethnic group in Delta State while his father was an Italian.

Advising Nigerian women to stop making cheating an issue, Nollywood actress Funke Adesiyan has taken to Instagram to tell women that cheating doesn’t make your male partner a bad person, but only validates him as a man.

According to the actress, women should look beyond the flaw of cheating, and focus on the way their men treat them. Here’s what she wrote;

“Leaving a man because he cheats is like relocating from Nigeria to America because of rain. News flash: it rains everywhere. Find a good man who loves you and appreciates you. Every other thing can be worked on. Men are naturally born to cheat. Look beyond this flaw and focus on how he treats you.”

She went further to write;

“Good morning guys. I read many comments from my last post and I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s funny that it’s women who are answering for their men that the men don’t cheat on them. My sisters, let the men answer for themselves. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow.

You cannot answer for people. I stand by my position 100%. I know that as a modern woman, we aim to break away from the norm and be as westernised as possible but believe me, it happens everywhere. It’s only those who got caught that are referred to as offenders. Not many men can sincerely say they have been with only their partner for 10yrs without “playing”. It doesn’t make them bad people, it just makes them men.

A Rivers state NYSC member, Ugwoke Peace Udoka has helped a little boy she saw hawking vegetables on the streets of Port Harcourt secure a scholarship.

According to her, she saw him hawking, took a picture with him and someone who saw the photo on social media reached out to help him.

She wrote;

“You never know how far one thing could lead to another.

Few weeks ago, I saw him hawking vegetables on the streets of Port Harcourt, apparently, he does that to assist his single mother.

He ran to me immediately and thanked me for visiting his school the previous week to speak with them and for giving them free writing materials, including mathematical sets.

We took a picture which caught social media attention and today, he’s got a scholarship support from someone who has never met him but only seen his hawking pictures.

This boy has given me the vibe to keep going. He inspires me everyday. God bless my service year.
